People
Partners, counsel, and associates of the chamber. Each advocate holds independent enrolment and appears in their own right, while matters are prepared and argued collaboratively.
Adv. Anoop Krishna
Anoop Krishna leads the trial and constitutional practice of the chamber. Most disputes that reach him have already passed the point of negotiation. A writ challenge to state action, a prosecution with a client's liberty at stake, a partition suit carrying three generations of a family, a matrimonial proceeding that requires both firmness and discretion.
His method is unremarkable and demanding. Every brief is prepared as though it will be tried, because the parts of a case that decide it. The documents, the cross-examination, the pleading that frames both, cannot be assembled at short notice. He appears before the Supreme Court of India, the High Court of Kerala, its appellate benches, and trial courts across the state, and he takes his own matters from the first conference to judgment.
A first conference will tell a prospective client what the law permits, what the forum is likely to do, and what the matter will cost to run. Where the chamber is not the right place for a brief, he says so.
Adv. Ashik Asharaf
Ashik Asharaf heads the chamber's corporate and international desk. His work begins earlier than litigation does. Investment structuring and shareholder arrangements, artificial-intelligence regulation and data governance, private equity, and maritime and shipping transactions, the commercial questions that arrive before any dispute exists.
He drafts with the courtroom in view. An agreement is written for the day it is disputed, and a compliance framework for the day a regulator examines it, which is a different exercise from closing a transaction. Where a matter does become contentious, the desk carries it into arbitration or into court rather than handing it on.
He is the chamber's point of contact for institutional engagements and for instructions from clients and counsel resident outside India. Beyond the Indian courts and tribunals, he is a registered practitioner before the Courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre and the Courts of Abu Dhabi Global Market, and conducts commercial proceedings there. Where a matter must be taken before any other foreign forum, he instructs counsel admitted in that jurisdiction.
